HSENI has primary responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978 for the regulation of health and safety at work in Northern Ireland and HSENI sets, and secures compliance with, necessary health and safety standards.
Improving health and safety standards is a partnership of employers, employees and other partners working collaboratively. HSENI offers advice, guidance, education and where necessary regulation and enforcement.
