Why Tourism NI is supporting Boardroom Apprentice

The Board has expressed its wish to see a wider pool of suitably qualified and experienced candidates for future Board membership coming forward and is keen to support that aim.

Location of Board and Committee Meetings

The Board is only just resuming physical meetings and a programme of venues remains to be worked out.  It is likely that there will be a mixture of physical and remote meetings going forward.

Frequency and timing of board/committee meetings

Board Meetings are held at least eight times a year, generally on a Thursday from 10.00am – 2.00 pm.  There are a number of Committees.  The Audit and Risk Assurance Committee meets on a quarterly business.  Meetings of the Finance and Casework Committee are held on a quarterly basis (for Financial reporting) and on an ad hoc basis as and when casework demands.

Date of Board Meetings (September 2022 – August 2023)

Board Meetings are due to be held on 29 September, 10 November and 15 December.  Meeting dates for 2023 will be agreed in the autumn.

Committee of the Boards and meeting dates (September 2022 – August 2023)

Committee dates for autumn and beyond remain to be agreed as a number of new Board appointments are expected during the summer, following which committee memberships will need revised.
