We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world: Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Tower of London, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle and Gardens.
The palaces are owned by The King on behalf of the nation. However, we raise all our own funds and depend on the support of our visitors, members, donors, sponsors and volunteers.
We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred. We want everyone to feel welcome and accepted. We tell stories about the monarchs you know and the lives you don’t. We let people explore and we set minds racing.
Why HRP is supporting Boardroom Apprentice
HRP’s strategic ambition is to be a charity for everyone and we want to reflect that in everything we do. We feel the Boardroom apprentice scheme reflects that same drive to present opportunities and enable those who might feel that a place on a charity Board might not be for them to think again. We are also keen to support and champion the need for greater diversity at Board level.
Location of Board and Committee Meetings
Board meetings are held physically at one of our sites, all our committee meetings are held virtually on MS Teams.
Frequency and timing of board/committee meetings
Our Board meets quarterly and our committees meet from two to four times a year depending on the nature of the committee.
