We monitor and promote the rights of EU, EEA and EFTA citizens and their families who have remained in the UK and Gibraltar after Brexit. This means that we actively seek information that will help us to identify where things are going well and where things are not. We help citizens to understand their rights and we help public bodies to understand where things are going wrong so that they can put them right.
Why the Independent Monitoring Authority is supporting Boardroom Apprentice
We are keen to use our platform as a UK organisation based in Wales to ensure the opportunity for board apprentices is spread as widely as possible. We feel we have an interesting portfolio of work in a new and developing area following the UK exit from the European Union and a team of experienced board members from varied backgrounds who are approachable and supportive to new members and any staff observing our meetings. A full IMA induction would be planned including 1.1s with each Board Member and Executive Team member to support the apprentice in post.

Frequency and timing of board/committee meetings
Board and Committee meetings are held quarterly.
Board meetings are in person in Swansea and last two days usually Wed 10 – 4, Thurs 9-3.
Committee meetings are held on MS Teams usually on a Thursday morning 10-12.
