The NI Police Fund is a Statutory Body established as part of the Patten Reforms of Policing. The Fund provides support for police officers and their families where the officers have been injured or murdered through terrorist actions. This support is delivered through a number of grant schemes. The Fund has a budget of some £1.5m in the current year and employs six staff. The role of the Board is to provide strategic direction and oversight of the activities of the Fund.
Why the Northern Ireland Police Fund is supporting Boardroom Apprentice
The Fund is hosting a Boardroom Apprentice currently and has found this to be a very worthwhile experience. Hence the desire to continue.
