The Social Care Council is the workforce regulator for Social Workers and Social Care. The Social Care Council is helping to raise standards in the social care workforce by registering social care workers; setting standards for their conduct and practice and supporting their professional development. This workforce includes social care workers, social care managers, social workers, probation officers, education welfare officers and social work students.
The organisation is committed to partnership working and the success of what we do depends on partnerships with people who have real experience of all aspects of social care. Board Members, Partnership Committees and working groups within the organisation involve people who use services, carers, workers, employers, education providers, trade unions and representative bodies. This ensures that all our stakeholders are given a voice in setting standards and improving social care in Northern Ireland.
