Space is an award-winning charity and social enterprise, based in the SHSCT area with offices in Newry, and Kilkeel. All of our services are delivered through a social model of health and are run in partnership with other stakeholders on a cross community basis.

Space has developed and implemented a wide range of unique training and services to support children, families, Older People and communities. Whilst our main focus is children and families, Space beneficiaries are across the whole of life cycle and include frail elderly, young adults with a disability. Many of the children we support, experience disadvantage through poverty, neglect, poor parenting skills, poor mental health, material poverty and disability, social and rural isolation.

Space has a great hardworking staff and management team.

Over the last two years we have also built up a social enterprise to help drive income generation for the charity, where young adults with a disability make soy was candles “Acorn”, candles.

In 2018 we won the All-Ireland Health and Wellbeing award, through IPB and Cooperation Ireland, an award that we are very proud of and we look forward to developing social enterprise activities to drive this are of development.
