UK Sport is the UK’s trusted high-performance experts, powering our greatest athletes, teams, sports and events to achieve positive success. Through strategic leadership and investment of National Lottery and Government funds since 1997, UK Sport has transformed the high-performance sporting system, winning more Olympic and Paralympic medals than ever before and is recognised as one of the top nations in the world for event hosting capabilities.
We’re on a mission. To create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments;reaching, inspiring and uniting the nation.
A decade where winning and being competitive at the highest level remains the priority, but where we also recognise the powerful platform sporting success has to inspire and effect lasting positive change for individuals and society. Ensuring we create that inspiration relies on winning with integrity and through a broader range of sports and champions, as well as growing a thriving sporting system with collaboration at its heart.
Our purpose – to lead high-performance sport to enable extraordinary moments that enrich lives.
Beliefs – our beliefs underpin why we exist, inform the decisions we make and drive what we do.
We believe in the power of sport to deliver positive impact for individuals and for society. We believe in the power of success, the power of connection and the power of collaboration.
The power of success – we believe sporting success makes people happy. It creates a powerful platform to inspire and effect lasting positive change for individuals and society.
The power of connection – we believe sport changes how individuals see their future, how communities connect with each other and how our nation is seen by the world. Sport has the power to make us all prouder, happier and more connected to each other.
The power of collaboration – we believe the way to achieve sustained sporting success and positive impact is through working together as one high-performance sporting community.
UK Sport has three office locations – Canary Wharf London, Loughborough and Manchester
Why UK Sport is supporting Boardroom Apprentice
UK Sport would like to offer a unique and exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join it’s Board and in return, to benefit from the diversity of experience and perspective that person will bring to the table.
We would like welcome someone who is interested and enthusiastic about what we do and has aspirations to serve in a public body. We are committed to supporting our Apprentice every step of the way and hope that the experience will be valuable, enjoyable and a great practical development opportunity.
As an organisation with ambitious equality, diversity and inclusion objectives, that believes greater representation is needed on Boards, we would particularly welcome applications from persons from a diverse background.
